Płaca Minimalna (Minimum Wage)
The Polish minimum wage is set annually by the Council of Ministers. It applies to all full-time employees. Since 2023, minimum wage adjustments occur once or twice per year depending on inflation forecasts.
Hourly Rate for Civil Law Contracts
The minimum hourly rate of PLN 31.40 applies specifically to civil law contracts (umowa zlecenie and self-employed). Employment contracts use the monthly minimum of PLN 4,806.
Coverage
The minimum wage applies to all full-time employees regardless of sector. Part-time workers receive a proportional amount based on their contracted hours. There are no reduced rates for young workers.

Poland's minimum wage has seen significant increases in recent years, more than doubling since 2020. This reflects government policy to raise living standards and reduce the gap with Western European wages.
